While he was reviewing a customer’s paperwork for a mortgage refinancing, he looked at her address and realized they were neighbors. “It took me a year to get a date with Jackie,” says a laughing Jolly, who eventually succeeded in his pursuit.

The couple married and blended their families—his, hers and, in November 2005, theirs.

To accommodate their expanding household, they bought a larger home in The Retreat section of Mill Pond. “We like the community,” says Jolly. “It’s full of amenities and the location is convenient.”

Three years ago, David Jolly relocated from Florida to Georgia to start a new job and a new chapter of his life. He was attracted to a community with comprehensive amenities, hoping amiable neighbors would complete the package. One of his neighbors at Mill Pond in Carrollton proved to be so nice, he married her, bringing new meaning to the adage “Love

thy neighbor.”

small home in The Meadows section of the development. “I didn’t know what to expect,” he explains. “I was starting with a new company in a new area, so I played it conservatively.”
